Kitchen Design

Over the many years that I have been designing kitchens I have seen a tremendous change in fashions and styles, from the old style Hygena units with metal strip handles to ornate wooden kitchens, gloss kitchens in blacks and reds, fifty shades of grey, to todays sleek handle-less minimalist designs. One thing that has never changed is the need for a good, workable design.

Besides looking stunning, a kitchen has to provide a practical workplace that suits the needs of the customer. The storage needs to be adequate and accessible, there needs to be a sufficient area of workspace close to the sink and the hob for food preparation. The layout needs to be safe and practical, especially where there are children to consider. The appliances must fulfil requirements.

We are all different, the design needs to suit the customer, particularly where there are special needs involved. It also has to suit the budget and be in keeping with the property. I would like to think that I am able to fulfil these requirements and offer a design that will look good and be fully functional, and a pleasure to work in.

The unit suppliers that I use if you wish me to supply the kitchen provide high quality products which are suitable for purpose, and enable me to offer something special that will last for many years to come and add value to your home.
